How can I confirm my Magic Mouse serial number?

Find the serial number of your Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, or Magic Trackpad - Apple Support

The serial number will probably also be shown (somewhere) in the device data in System Information, but I don’t have a Magic Mouse handy to test that.

The serial number is the number on the bottom of the mouse. Then check the serial number here: https://checkcoverage.apple.com

ioreg and system_profiler would be the other places to look.

Will check those when I get back to a Mac with a trackpad (no mouse).

Good idea, but usually if I am on my desktop, my iPhone and iPad are somewhere in the other end of the house. Maybe I should take one of the six pairs of reading glasses I have scattered about, and leave one on my desk? ...but that would make too much sense. :)

For what it's worth......there is an impressive amount of Magic Mouse information displayed in the System Report, but a serial number does not appear. Maybe another user will have better luck.
