AirTag won’t connect after replacing battery My AirTag stated that the battery was low and to replace the battery. I replaced with a new battery, but never hear a beep when I install the battery. I did it numerous times. It does not work. Everything was installed correctly. I even used another battery from my other AirTag and it still does not beep or connect, so it can’t be the battery. Does anyone have any recommendations?

AirTag not connecting after new battery. Changed to a new battery and even went through the process (ridiculous, imo) of getting five beep sequences by pressing the new battery down five times. There was no “different” sort of beep. No connection, not recognized. Yes, purchased from Apple, about a year ago.

If the batteries have Bitrex coating it needs to be scraped off first.

It worked thank you! After a google on how to do it I used a rubber as alcohol didn't work :)
