Why is the Apple TV app not appearing in the App Store on my new 2024 M3 Mac?

I have a new 2024 M3 Mac. I wanted to stream a movie on the Mac and an online search said I need the Apple TV app. When I went to the App Store on my Mac and searched for the app it did not appear. What am I doing wrong?
