I think it doesn't hurt anything, though you'd better take system backup before installing emulator.

Note that if you have an Apple-Silicon-based Mac, you may be able to run some iPhone and iPad games directly. Just search for phrases like "iPhone games" or "iPad games" in the App Store.

That might provide an alternative to installing an Android emulator in order to run the Android version of a game.
