Home Bar stops working once iPhone is unlocked

Recently my home bar stopped working randomly once I unlock my phone. At first it was fixable with a restart, then only resetting the phone to factory settings helped. Now it is back.

It seems once I unlocked the phone, the bottom most part of the screen stops registering touch at all. I already updated iOS, still happening. I can also test this with my keyboard, the language settings can be selected, but not if I select the bottom half, which shows, the screen just stops reacting at that area. the home bar does work when the phone and therefore image is sideways.

Now it doesn't seem like a hardware issue as I can still unlock the screen with the home bar.

And all I found was another post from 2 years ago with the same problem, but unresolved

TheDipps ~ 75% is not healthy and is almost certainly the reason for that problem (whether you can "see the reason" or not.)

Apple recommends having the battery replaced at around 80% – so find some money to have the weak, aging battery replaced and all will be well:

Repair Provider Verification

Yeah it's around 75%. I want to swap it but right now I don't habe the money.

Also so far I can't see the reason between how a part of the display just doesn't work only when the phone unlocked and a weaker battery. Especially as it still can hold up 3-4h before I have to charge it again.

Not only that, last time this happened, a factory reset with my backup I did just before fixed it too. Now over a month later it returned
