Isabella, one more question, in addition to the helpful link by Katana-San. Can you tell us, please, how the photos have been saved on your iPhone? Do you want to delete photos, that have been taken with your iPhone and saved to Photos, or photos, that have been shared with you or photos you have synced to your iPhone from a computer?

  • I am asking, because photos you have synced from a computer cannot be deleted directly. There is no trash icon shown. Synced photos can only be deleted by syncing again. The new syncing will replace all previously synced photos.
  • You can recognize synced photos by the missing Trash button and they are shown in separate albums in a collection "From my Mac".

There may also be photos you cannot delete in the "Shared with you" collection. To remove the photos shared in Messages from Photos, disable "Shared with You" for Photos as described here: Use Shared with You on your iPhone and iPad - Apple Support
