I had a charging issue with my iPad air6 13in which I bought end of last Agust. So I made a reservation for repair to genius bar and they checked something and said they will swapping devices. When swapping devices, will I get a “new” same iPad not a used one? Also, can I still keep my old one or apple take my old one?

From my own experience you'll get a refurbished device but they look and operate like brand new and likely packaged in a non-retail box. The serial number will also be unique identifying it as refurbished. Swapping devices means Apple will want your old one.
Hello~ From my own experience for the same issue…Apple kept my device with an issue and gave me a refurbished device. It’s the one that I am posting from now and I was completely satisfied with the replacement. It was a pleasant experience as well.
