The previous iPhone SE (gen 3) was introduced in April 2022 and the 128Gb dropped in price to just $479.
The new iPhone 16e will be available for $599 for 128Gb. That’s a 20% increase in 3 years. If we take inflation from 2016 to today (averaged 2.9% per year), the iPhone 16e should cost over $650. Future tariffs could certainly be a factor when considering the future purchasing of a dollar.
