Notes disappeared when phone storage for low

If you erased your old phone and your notes were not on iCloud then they are unrecoverable, but I think i can tell you why notes disappeared. When enabled from iPhone storage in Settings, apps that are infrequently used are offloaded when storage is low, but all documents are still on the phone. The notes that disappeared probably hadn’t been synced to iCloud, so they were only on the old phone and were therefore deleted permanently when the phone was erased.

Recovering Lost Notes:

If you have lost the notes, then here is what to try...

A. Start Here: If you're Missing Notes on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

B. Restore from a Backup:

Did your ever back up your iPhone with these installed? If so, back up you could back up your iPhone, and then restore it from the backup.

C. iCloud in Settings:

Look in iCloud settings in each device, and make sure that Notes is clicked. If it is, then unclick it, and then click it again.

if syncing was on then they should have been in iCloud, but if they were saved to the “on my iPhone” account for notes instead of the “iCloud” account, they wouldn’t have synced. If they were in the iCloud account and they hadn’t synced then I’m not sure why they didn’t sync.

Caches may have intensely uploaded. So, clear them.

Troubleshooting iPhone Storage:
