How can I restore missing iTunes purchased music?

I just noticed some of my iTunes library has disappeared. The music doesn’t appear under my purchased category and is promoting me to pay for music I’ve already paid for. I wanted to listen the soundtrack from the Fifth Element that I downloaded a few years, but it wasn’t there. I searched it on iTunes and it said I had to purchase it for $16.99 when I fact I’ve already bought it. I don’t even want to know what other music from my library has suffered the same fate. I need assistance. I’m not dishing out hundreds of dollars to replace my library.

The files might still be on your computer even if iTunes has lost track. Use Finder or Windows Explorer to look around your files. If you find them, re-add them to your library.

Otherwise, if you are still using the same Apple ID, are in the same country, and the content is still available, you should be able to redownload fresh copies of past purchases at no charge. Follow the steps in one of these:

Redownload music from the iTunes Store on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support (iPhone or iPad)

Redownload music from the iTunes Store on your Mac - Apple Support (mac)

Redownload music from the iTunes Store on your PC - Apple Support (pc)
