I am running Ventura 13.7.3 on an old iMac. I want to upload all my photos in my Photos to iCloud. I already have a lot of photos in iCloud, but I want to upload them all to iCloud, because I intend to erase my hard drive. I only see the possibility of uploading one at at time on iCloud. Is there a way to upload many at the same time?
Any help is appreciated....

Is your Photos Library connected to iCloud? If so, then everything in the Photos Library is copied to the iCloud Photos Library.
If you're not connected, then make sure your Library is the System Library at Photos' Settings>General, and then turn on iCloud at Settings>iCloud. You should also check "Optimize Storage;" it should make things faster. (Don't use "Optimize" on the Mac if you intend to back it up-- but you're going to erase it anyway, right?)
Everything at iCloud Photos will be copied to your iMac's Photos, and vice versa. This make take a few days to complete. When it's through, the bottom of the Library should have something like this:
