I was buying a product through apple pay and updated my number on the transaction apple wallet page/pop up. I entered the wrong phone number for my details. Will the number that I entered receive any of my payment information in a receipt? or am I safe?
I’m not sure about that pop up. But phone number would not be used for receipts. Merchant receipts are sent via email to the information on file.
The default information is displayed at the path below.
iPhone > Settings > scroll down > Wallet & Apple Pay > Shipping Address
Depending on the merchant they may already have information on file if your logged into the site, or have ordered from before. If you use a browser, it may have cached shipping information to Auto Fill.

Are you in your Apple Account and not your Wallet app? What screen are you referring to exactly?
It was on my iPhone. its at the bottom half of the screen where it shows you the summary of the payment, it had the card used, my email and then an old number, so I changed that to my new number but it turned out I had typed a couple of number in wrong 😬
I’m not sure the source of the popup. Apple Wallet does not have a popup page. Are you using a Mac?
