How can I fix keyboard shortcut issues on iPhone 12 Pro?

I use the keyboard shortcuts extensively. It's very useful.

I create shortcuts from either my iOS device or from my computer.

Why does the full text expansion sometimes does not include my paragraph formatting ?

I just realized that creating a shortcut from my iOS device as not included the paragraph formatting.

Do you have any clue about that problem ?

Thanks in advance.

If you are referring to the 'Text Replacement' feature then this may help.

Go to Settings > General > Keyboard, then tap Text Replacement. · Tap the Add button at the top right, then enter your word or phrase in the Phrase field, but ...

Save keystrokes with text replacements on iPhone

On iOS, when you use Text Replacement to insert long paragraphs or phrases, the formatting follows these rules:

  1. No Line Breaks – Text Replacement does not support multi-line formatting. Even if you enter text with line breaks in the replacement field, iOS will treat it as a single continuous block of text when inserted.
  2. No Rich Formatting – Text is inserted as plain text, meaning no bold, italics, underlines, or hyperlinks.
  3. Spacing and Punctuation – Any spaces or punctuation within the replacement phrase will be preserved exactly as entered.

Thanks for helping.

Many of keyboard shortcuts (KS) or text replacement items that I have created include line breaks or paragraph marks .... and I am able to use them without any problem, meaning that the line breaks or paragraph marks are displayed.

I also have some KS that where copied from a preexisting text including line breaks or paragraph marks and pasted as the replacement text but when using them the line breaks or paragraph marks have disappeared.

My question is ... why am I experiencing two different behavior while doing, in my own opinion, the same thing ?
