How to recover a partially recorded video labeled 'mov' on iPhone?

i’m in a concert and my phone died while recording, now it just shows “mov” in my phone. What can i do?

If an iPhone video recording stops abruptly — like if the phone crashes, runs out of battery, or the app freezes — the video usually isn’t saved, because the iPhone only finalizes and writes the video file when you stop the recording properly.


However, sometimes the iPhone’s Photos app may take a moment to process a video after a sudden interruption, and it might eventually appear after a bit of time. If it doesn’t show up in Photos, you can check the Files app or use a tool like iPhone Storage (Settings > General > iPhone Storage) to see if there’s any leftover data.


Unfortunately, if none of that works, and the video wasn’t finalized, there’s no built-in way on an iPhone to recover it.
