How do I remotely erase a stolen iPhone after 9 months?

I had an iPhone stolen in Indonesia and it is still pending erasing for 9 months. I have tracked and screen shot the locations the phone has moved to over that time. I don’t particularly want it back and would hope that someone needing it can benefit but would love it to be erased. I have followed all the necessary steps to change all access. Has anyone got any suggestions on my next step?

That is correct, absolutely nothing you can do. The phone is not going to connect using Wi-Fi, so a cellular connection is going to have to take place.

Now, if the bad guys who have the phone have wrapped it in aluminum foil.....thieves know all about this.....the phone cannot receive or send a signal.

I'm sorry, but after 9 months, the chances of the phone being erased are just about zero.

If it’s been 9 months since your iPhone was stolen, realistically you will never see it again. I am not sure you would want to benefit the thief that stole your iPhone by letting them setup and use it for themselves. You won’t be able to verify if your iPhone will end up in the hands of someone needing it, and so far it is most likely still in the thief’s hand.

Hey, Bob Timmons, I had a separate question for you. What is the difference between “Offline” and “No Location Found”, and the reasons behind each?

They are similar:

Offline means the iPhone can't connect to the Find My network to provide its location, usually because the battery is dead or it isn't connected to a network for over 24 hours. No Location Found usually means the device is either not connected to the internet, turned off, or location services have been turned off, which means it can't send it's location.
