Why does my iPhone 15 brightness setting keep resetting?

Everytime I slide the brightness bar on my IPhone 15 to the brightest setting, a few seconds later it moves back to the middle of the bar and dims. How to avoid this please.

Go to Settings/Accessibility/Display & Text Size and turn off Auto-Brightness.
