How do I enable the iPad keyboard to sign in or turn off password?
I can get the Samsung ipad keyboard to show so can't sigh in or switch off as can't put password anywhere

You can only unlock your iPad by interacting with the iPad itself - by entering the device Passcode using the iPad's touchscreen, or by using TouchID/FaceID as available for your iPad model.
An external keyboard cannot be used to unlock your iPad.
While not necessarily recommended, should you choose to do so, you can disable the iPad's Auto-Lock function. When disabled, your iPad will not be locked with its Passcode or biometric authentication:
Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock - set to Never
Be aware that your iPad will be completely unprotected; anyone with physical access to your iPad will be able to access all data accessible from your iPad. Your iPad will always require that it is unlocked with a Passcode in some circumstances - such as after a shutdown or restart.
