using end-to-end encryption on my new phone after my previous phone broke.

I want to connect my airtag to my new iphone, but it requires end-to-end encryption. When I want to set this up, it requires my current iphone passcode and the passcode of my previous iphone. The annoying thing is that I didn't used to have a passocode on my previous phone and that when I try to use a passcode that I had before I deleted it it just doen't work. So now I can't use my airtag because I don't know the passcode of my previous phone?? I'm confused.

A good starting point is to remove your broken iPhone from your Apple Account using the Find My app or by logging into icloud.com. After that, make sure your new iPhone, associated with the same Apple Account, is properly set up with a secure passcode.

If that doesn't resolve this issue, I suggest that you contact Apple Support directly for further assistance with this matter. To do so, simply select the "Support" link on the lower left-hand side of this forum's web page.
