2018 MacBook not waking up from sleep mode, touchpad lights up but no screen

My 2018 MacbBook recently started not coming out of sleep mode i find myself having to restart my computer every time this happens. I have followed the recommend steps found within the apple support forum (the lock screen)however nothing seems to work. next step is probably smashing

A SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled temporarily.

you can Login or not and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.
