iPhone 15 Pro Max keyboard disappears when using Bluetooth Skullcandy earbuds

I have an iPhone 15 Promax running iOS 18.2.1 and was frustrated by not getting the on-screen keyboard when editing or searching, etc. Turns out that my Bluetooth Skull Candy earbuds won’t let the keyboard come up. In a document, as soon as I disconnect them the Apple keyboard appears. If I connect them again, the keyboard disappears. My Bluetooth bone conduction headphones don’t do that. Hope this helps someone.
