I don’t understand the year of manufacture of my iPhone. It shows me april 01 1978 when I check it on check coverage. I’m confused if I bought an original or a fake phone. Also the model number begins with digit 3M instead of alphabet.

You bought a uses/gray market device from an unauthorized retailer.
Probably one that was refurbished by an unauthorized party.

If this is a problem, return it and get your money back, then go buy a phone from an authorized retailer.
You bought a used phone that has no warranty coverage.
If the store told you that the phone was new and included a manufacturers warranty, you might want to have a word with them. If it were me, I would demand a refund.

It has not warranty. That model was discontinued last year.
