My base model Iphone 16 is quite choppy and laggy compared to my 15 Pro. Is this simply because it is only the base model or is it something else? battery saver is turned off by the way.
It is also updated to the most current OS

I wouldn’t say your iPhone 16 is lagging because it is a base model. Base models are still excellent iPhones and yours is in fact apart of the latest and greatest lineup. Please perform a Forced Restart on your iPhone, which will fix any software issues. Be sure to perform it quickly, and avoid the slider that appears.
Thanks for responding, I did try this, and it still seems a bit laggy. It’s almost as if it is running at 40fps and is not for smooth like my 15
