Texts not Syncing with Car over Bluetooth

hey, so I have an iPhone 16 pro as well as a 2025 Tesla model 3! I am running iOS 18.3.1 and for some reason my texts messages are not syncing with my car but my friend who owns an iPhone 15 connected to my car and his messages are syncing fine. I’ve tried pretty much all of the troubleshooting I can think of including verifying my do not disturb settings are not getting in the way, making sure all of my apps have proper permissions and making sure syncing messages is enabled in my Bluetooth settings on my phone for my car. I have a Tesla service appointment coming up in two weeks but if other peoples phones are able to sync fine then I don’t think it’s a car issue. Does anyone have a similar issue with the new iPhone, have any other things I should try or any solutions you know of? Does anyone at apple know this is an ongoing documented issue?
