How do I unlock iPhone 14 Pro locked by carrier?

I am from the USA and I bought an iPhone 14 Pro in the USA that had an eSIM. I am currently studying abroad in South Korea and broke my phone camera and when I went to get it repaired they gave me a completely new phone, wiping my old phone completely including both my USA eSIM and my korean eSIM, then restoring my new phone through iCloud. The new phone I was given is still an iPhone 14 Pro, but it has a physical SIM card, so there is currently no SIM card in my phone. However, the phone is locked by carrier which doesn’t allow me to get a SIM card. I need to unlock it with my carrier, but since there is no phone number on this phone as of right now, I am not sure how to go about getting my phone unlocked to get a SIM card. Would the apple store I bought it at be able to, or would my previous carrier be able to even though this new phone doesn’t have the cell number associated with the service provider? (AT&T)
