Anker 577 Thunderbolt Docking Station With MacMini

Good Morning,

I am planning on trading in my MacBook Pro M1 for the new Mac Mini M4, however I use a dock for charging and connecting displays and other accessories to my current MacBook.

The Anker 577 dock that I use does power passthrough to charge MacBook's, so my question, do I need to get a new dock for the new Mac Mini I'm planning to buy or does the fact the mac mini does not have power via USB-C mean the port will just block the power delivery from the dock?

I just dont want to plug in this dock and blow the port in the mac mini.

Mac Mini in question: Mac mini - Apple (UK)

Reason for "downgrade" in chip is I don't need the performance from the new pro chip, and I no longer require a MacBook as the current one spends its time docked behind my screen.

I know the dock is thunderbolt 3 but the speed is fine, its the number of ports, along side the fact I already have this one, that i would like to stick with it.

Thank you for any assistance given, I do appreciate the time you have taken.
