Connecting Lenovo curved monitor to MacBook Air M3

When I connect the USB-C cord from my monitor to the MacBook Air it does not connect. When I look at external displays it is not showing. I am stumped.

Which Lenovo curved monitor?

If this monitor has multiple USB-C ports, which port did you use? Some monitors have two or more USB-C ports – of which only one is for connecting video input. The others are for other purposes (e.g., USB uplink if you are using DisplayPort or HDMI; or for connecting USB data peripherals to the monitor as though it was a hub).
