Cannot find “Shut Down” action in iOS 18.3 Shortcuts

Want a simple automation to automatically power down iPhone on a weekly basis at a specified time and day. All search results say to invoke either “Shut Down” action or run a script inside shortcut. However I cannot find either. Was this removed?

Hello robert,

I can find the Shut Down action in either a personal automation or a regular shortcut. I'm using iOS 18.3.1 if it makes any difference.

In any case, the Shut Down action requires a user interaction/confirmation when it runs from either a personal automation or a regular shortcut. So it's of little value if you expect to run it automatically (without your having to confirm the shut down).

Of course: once you tap “Next” after selecting a time of day, tap the gray rectangle “New Blank Automation”. (What you see in that screen is just a list of predefined shortcuts; the search is just for those predefined shortcuts.) Then you’ll see a screen where you can search for actual actions, including the “Shut Down” action.
