MacBook Pro 16inch 2019 i9 Overheated

My MacBook gets warmer and warmer until it hangs. I use web browsers, coding app, live meeting such as zoom, ms team, etc.

I have to restart it after 1-2 hours.

How can I fix this issue?

There are numerous pads that have cooling fans you can buy online that you can fit under your computer.

You can also bring it in to an authorized service center to have them make sure the insulating gel for the CPU is fresh. I would not recommend doing it yourself, as you would not know what Apple recommends is the right amount. Too much gel it becomes an insulator, too little and it overheats. They can also evaluate if a fan needs to be used to clean the dust out of the fan itself in the computer.

Food can get in the gaps where the computer ventilates as well. This may be something you can very carefully pick at with a toothpick to ensure it doesn't get into the computer. Do not use any liquids and don't let the crud get further embedded in the computer.

Leaving the computer on the floor can introduce more dust in the computer, or leaving it in a room where someone smokes can as well. I've seen computers get filled with dust that have been inside auto repair shops.
