Unable to download Element X on my iPhone 8 running iOS 16

Sorry, it is not possible to update an iPhone 8 to iOS 17. iOS 16.7.10 is the end of the update road for iPhone 8. It is too old and lacks the hardware required to be updated further. If you need a higher level iOS version, then you'll have to retire your more than 8 year old iPhone and buy a new iPhone.

An iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or iPhone X isn't capable of 17 or above; they require an A12 or better CPU. Try downloading the application to a newer unit on the same Apple Account first.

The developer of the app chooses which iOS version they want to support. If Element X only supports iOS 17, then you will need to purchase a newer phone as the iPhone 8 can only support iOS 16.
