If the video on an iPhone is not capturing correctly while connected to CarPlay, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

First, ensure that the car's glass window is clean and free of any dirt, smudges, or obstructions. A dirty or fogged-up window can interfere with the camera’s ability to capture clear video footage, especially if the camera’s view is somehow affected by reflections from the glass.

If your car has any tinted film or paper installed on the glass window, consider temporarily removing it and testing the video capture again. Sometimes, certain types of tint or film can distort the camera’s view or affect the light entering the lens, leading to poor video quality.

Additionally, confirm that your iPhone’s camera lens itself is clean and unobstructed. Dust, fingerprints, or smudges on the lens can also impact video clarity.

If the issue persists despite following these steps, you may want to disconnect and reconnect CarPlay, ensure your iPhone’s software is up to date
