What should I do if my Apple ID is linked to my daughter?

If you have access to your account, which you should through one of your devices. if it is a social engineering hack choose I. And take every step I give you or you will have to do it again or worse, rather than an agreement or mistake, you ought to start the first series of steps immediately before you lose data or access to your account:

I. follow if this is social engineering hack:

1. If she is linked to your account on one particular device, then that device will be on your find my app on your Apple Devices. I want you to put on “Lost Mode” which her from accessing the device she has associated with your Apple ID. Then I want you to delete the data by choosing erase. if she has your only device, go to https://account.apple.com/ and change your password. Go ahead and change the email associated with your Apple account as well. Set up your 2FA; change the phone number associated with your account to something other than your Apple phone number
2. Go to settings -> (your name) -> scroll to devices; find any device you don’t recognize and select the device; select “remove from account”; and confirm.
3. Immediately change your Apple Account Password; change the password on your phone to something that is seven numbers; Change the password on your iPad; change the password on your MacBook; etc. those can be used to recover a lost password. And your daughter likely knows a way into your devices if she was able link her device to your account. So this is laborious but necessary. Set up and use biometrics on your devices. Use numbers, letter, caps, and symbols. Better yet, set up passkeys, and never have to use a password again.
4. Set up 2FA (two factor authentication)
5. Enable stolen devices protection that is on newer devices.
6. I’m not sure how much your daughter has or if she is willing to go this far, but if she had your Apple Account on a device and you use Apple Password Manager, download password1, then you need to immediately change your banking passwords, email accounts, and then work on the others. You never want to use password app by Apple because your Apple password will allow access to your account. You could consider Bitwarden. Your daughter has access to more than your phone if she is linked and knows password. So don’t use Passwords Apple.

II. If your daughter is right next to you and not hacking you:

1. Go into her device and into settings —> (your name) —> scroll to bottom and sign out.
2. if she is keeping the device, go to settings—>general—>transfer or reset—>reset
3. go into your device settings—>name—>sign in and security—> change password
4. set up 2FA
5. if you need to go to the link for your Apple account I gave you in option 1 step 1 and change password there. Set up 2FA there; etc.
6. have your daughter go into the now reset device and set up her own apple account. If your daughter is a child.
