MacBook Pro M3 (2024) – Screen Cracked Twice for No Reason

I bought a 2024 MacBook Pro M3 in October and have handled it with care. One day, I turned it on and found the screen cracked—no drops, no pressure, no reason. I assumed it had to be my fault, even though I couldn’t figure out how. Since I had AppleCare, I paid for the screen replacement. One month later, it happened again—while I was just watching Netflix. No movement, no impact, no reason—just another crack. I’ve seen multiple reports of this happening to others. This seems to be an ongoing issue, and I can’t keep paying for repairs on a premium device that’s supposed to be durable.

Has anyone else dealt with this?

I do have AppleCare+, and I already had the screen replaced in January for this exact issue. I knew at the time it wasn’t anything I did. This laptop is very lightly used, and since then, I’ve been even more careful—no covers, no cases, always kept flat, never traveled with, and it’s not even my primary work laptop.
Honestly, I’m afraid to even touch it after having to replace the screen once. Even with AppleCare+, the service fee is expensive to keep paying over and over. And now, it’s happened again.
Heading to the Apple Store now, but considering all the other reports of this issue, I’m not feeling optimistic.

Once repaired consider selling it or trade it in and get out from under this headache. It is truly unexceptable.

if the 90-day warranty for recent work done does not cover the cost—

Escalate your issue up the chain of command at the store— don't settle for tier 1 support and the standard company policy

With calm and steady demeanor, polite and well mannered— get the store manager involved here, they are the only one who can make exceptions to the rules of engagement ...
