iCloud Custom Email Domain Setup failing with HostGator

I have two MX records, two TXT records, and one CNAME record all set up in my HostGator domain DNS settings. Two domains, each set up accordingly. TTL set to 1 hour for everything. HostGator support says it looks right to them and that there is nothing more they can do; I should contact Apple support, so here I am. For those reading from a google search, I have tried the TXT value both with quotes and without as one post says it required them, while another said they had to remove them. I have waited the requisite 72 hours after each change but it never works. What am I missing? And please don't link me to the same setup instructions I've seen in other posts, I need next-level human support here.
