How to remove (but NOT delete) a playlist

Back when iTunes was the music player, I curated a playlist of Christmas songs that I would add to my iPhone in every November and remove in January. It was simply a matter of checking the box to add or remove the playlist, then sync the iPhone.

Now that it's Apple Music (or Apple Devices?) I can't seem to remove the Christmas songs or the playlist (even thought the songs are unchecked. I don't want to delete the playlist permanently. I don't want to remove the songs from my library permanently. I just want the curated playlist on my computer to exist so I can add it to my phone again next year

Is there an easy way to do this?
