I have been attempting to add values on the notes app and it won’t work. I’ll give certain items a value and when I attempt to add the list by the names it won’t add the values.

How are you making the addition?
If I write say
Apples = 5
Cards = 10
Oranges = 7 in a Note, and then underneath write:
Apples + Cards + Oranges =
It automatically suggests 22 as the result.
Make sure the Note is being created under the iCloud or On My iPhone groups.
It won't work under other groups or email accounts..

You have a few issues there.
Remove the equal sign after the A+B+C+D =,
and the one after the sum x3.
to get a result you can add the a "Sum =" line under the operation.
Andt a add a "Fun = " under its operation and it should offer a result.
Also, multiplication is done using the asterisk, not the letter x. In context it should change the asterisk into a small x automatically though.
I’m doing the notes that way and it is under iCloud
when I was trying to see what was wrong I tried
A = 3
B = 6
C = 7
D = 5
Sum = A + B + C + D =
Fun = Sum x 3 =
and nothing came up on the answer section.
