Mac mini 2012 with Apple TV Remote

Hi


I have Mac mini 2012 and somehow It worked with my Apple TV remote. Is there any documentation for that? My remote only consist of play pause button, menu, and the big circle. The button that works only for volume control and play pause.

Apple does not offer any documentation. But yes it was possible to use it like that for basic media controls and presentations. Though there is no further details about it.


No, it won't work with newer Macs because they lack the infrared receiver.
