I (SORT OF) FIGURED IT OUT!
(It's not perfect but you'll solve a lot of problems this way):
1) Open iPhoto
2) Select your album
3) Press Command+A on your keyboard
4) Select "Window" along the top of the screen
5) Select "Keyword Manager" (Cmd+K might work also)
6) Click "Edit Keywords"
7) Click "+" and type the name of your album
8) Select the keyword before closing out
9) Exit and go to the website/application you're trying to upload on
10) Upon uploading, go to the bottom "Media" section in the finder and select "Photos."
11) Lastly, type in the name of the "album" you're trying to locate
The nice part about this is that you can also add in keywords that are more descriptive than the album name - such as color, mood, etc - and add keyboard shortcuts to potentially speed up your tagging workflow.
It's not perfect because you'll need to periodically update keywords to your imports (as this doesn't happen automatically). But at least you can actually use your photo library and albums you spent hours organizing!
Hope this helps you!
