How can I add music , language tapes purchased elsewhere to listen to now that home sharing has gone?

Home sharing has been removed I have thousand of pounds of CD,s language tapes book tapes that I purchased and put on iTunes on my old Mac they were on my iPad I have purchased a new iPad and home sharing has gone as has all my music etc. what are Apple doing? Idiots !

How can I get this data on my new iPad.

Apple music cannot provide what I need as their library is American Biased and does not contain much of what I purchased separately.

Do I now have to get rid of Apple Music news storage etc and go to google?

Or start having to use Chinese (Huawei)

iPad, iPadOS 18

I would suggest obtaining whatever gear best meets your needs. if that’s a Plex server or some other media server, or involves Google products, get whatever gear best works best for you.

As for troubleshooting Home Sharing, start with an update from iOS 18.2 to 18.3.1, and also whatever updates are necessary for the Mac or PC that is serving the data.

Home Sharing can also be sensitive to issues or limits on the local network.

Also confirm the same Apple Account is used everywhere intending to share.

As a different path, I’ve been using cable sync, with a mix of ripped CDs and purchased downloads, and that works fine.
