Thanks so much! I have the new one up and working very quickly using the One Home setting and all of my settings appear to be exactly as they're supposed to be. As an FYI, the upgrade to the new remote by itself (not to mention the faster chip and extra storage) was well worth the price of admission! I do have one other question if I may. I saw what you wrote and the link regarding resetting the old device. Can I assume that I need to unplug the new Apple TV and then replug the old one in to the TV w/HDMI to reset it and then just we connect the new one? I only have one TV which is why I ask her like that. Or can the reset be done independently of the TV? I just wanna be sure I don't lose all the apps and settings I just switched over. Thanks again!
Yes, Plug in the old Apple TV so you can see the screen on your Tv, while keeping the new one disconnected form both power and HDMI.
Do the reset and when done, just unplug it, and plug in the new one in its place.
