Automatically Delete one Time Passwords In Messages

Can an iphone be set to automatically delete one time passwords (or authorization codes) in messages even if the password (or authorization code) is needed for a different device than the one receiving the message? I regularly need to receive an authorization code on my iPhone for logging into an account on a different device.

Hello IGrock,

You are correct: the auto-delete will only work on the Apple device that receives it (it will sync to other Apple Devices through iCloud if you sync your messages).

A personal automation is the Shortcuts app could not be a solution as there are no actions that can delete a message/SMS (as of iOS 18.3.1).

I think the "Delete after use" function works only if the text authorization is processed through an Apple connected application, if I'm using the authorization for a non-connected application or a different device then it doesn't work.

I should be more specific: While working on my Chromebook or Windows-based PC, I regularly need to log into accounts that use 2-factor authentication which I receive as a text message on my iPhone. I use the code on the chromebook/PC but want the text message with the authorization code on my iphone to destruct (ideally after a set amount of time, or after the message has been opened and closed, or anything else I can trigger through automation).
