Has anyone had any success with Apple addressing the screen crack issue. I spent $3000 on this laptop 10 minths ago. It never leaves my house and was sitting on my desk. I opened it the next morning and a crack in the right hand corner suddenly spread and now it’s black. This just me a defect, right??? I don’t want to pay $750 for a new screen.

Have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop. At one time if it was just a single hairline crack (no spidering) with no impact point or other signs of accidental damage, then Apple would cover it under warranty....I don't know if this is still the case since Apple keeps changing things.
You can always check your local consumer protection laws to see if they may help you.
I did as you suggested and lo and behold, it was a single hairline crack and the returned my macbook (which I am happlily typing on right now) fully repaired.
