How can I resolve 'no signal detected' on BenQ monitor connected to MacBook Pro M4 via USB-C?

So this is an interesting case. I recently bought a Pro M4 and connected it to 2 BenQ GW2486TC monitors via separate USB-Cables (no docks in between) it was working flawlessly for a day or two. What changed? I connected an HP latop to one of the monitors (for work) using one of the USB-C cables already plugged. After doing this, I reconnected the cable to the MacBook. To my surprise, and after much unplugging, replugging and restarting: whatever monitor is connected to the second (counting from the back, left side) USB-C port just shows: no signal and a black screen. The only workaround is to disconnect and reconnect the cable from the monitor. Disconnecting and reconnecting from the MacBook does not work. Anyone out there with the same/similar problem and hopefully someone who managed to solve it and it’s willing to help?

This sounds related to the same Thunderbolt 5 issues that have been noticed on this thread.

But from the sounds of it, you found at least one setup that works without changing OS or cable. Some people have none that works with their monitor. Your best bet is to call AppleCare have have them issue a case number to discover if the other port is damaged in some way.
