No way to restore Apple Watch Activity Streak??

I attempted to pause my move goal on Tuesday as I had some commitments that were going to prevent me from closing my rings that day. I had confirmation on my watch my rings were paused. I just looked at my weekly summary to find they had UNPAUSED on their own, and now there is no way to retroactively restore my move streak (even though I was only 20 calories from my goal??)

I spent 30 minutes on the phone with Apple just to find there is not a solution- you can add manually add calories, workouts, etc to the health app, but NOTHING will cause the rings to update with this information.

Even with a free app like Duolingo, you can contact support and get your streak restored. Why is this not the case with an $800+ Apple Watch?

Yeah but that is not really an acceptable solution is it buddy?

Especially the fact that you can manually add data to fitness via the health app (that the fitness app reads for the rings), but the manually added data is IGNORED shows that this was not just oversight by Apple- they DELIBERATELY blocked any kind of workaround. This is extremely antagonistic behavior against users
