VPN not allowing internet connection on iPhone 16?

For the last week my iPhone 16 Plus would no longer connect to my home internet. I tried everything that I was reading on this post-resetting the network, restarting my phone and my modem to no avail.

I spoke with Apple support yesterday for 45 minutes and they couldn’t help me with the issue, although he did say that I I needed to delete the VPN that was showing up on settings but it didn’t have anywhere to delete it. After hanging up with support, I started going through my settings and came across VPN & Device Management under General and selected it, sure enough an app that didn’t show up on my list of apps was there under VPN & Device Management, once I deleted that app, my iPhone is connecting to my home internet connection!

If a second opinion will help, Bob Timmons is 100% correct. VPN on iPhone is not only unnecessary, but as you've learned, can cause connectivity issues. They don't provide the security you think they do. Dump the VPN. Don't just turn it off, remove the profile completely.
