How to align text in Apple Notes both in and outside of Tables using iPad or Mac

I hope that this helps someone. I know that it was driving me crazy to not be able to align text inside of Apple Notes when using tables on my iPad. I did it by mistake but then could not remember how I did it. So after much trial and error, I figured it out and decided to share in case anyone else ran into the same issue.

Inside Tables (Mac & iPad)

• Shift + | (Vertical Bar) → Centers text in table cells
• Shift + } (Right Curly Brace) → Right-aligns text in table cells
• Shift + { (Left Curly Brace) → Left-aligns text in table cells

For General Text (Mac & iPad, Outside of Tables)

• Shift + Command + | (Vertical Bar) → Centers text
• Shift + Command + } (Right Curly Brace) → Right-aligns text
• Shift + Command + { (Left Curly Brace) → Left-aligns text
