Urgent: Recovering Permanently Deleted Photos from iCloud

Hi,

I recently deleted photos from my iPhone, not realizing that since I had iCloud Photos enabled, they would also be removed from my iCloud storage. I’ve always relied on iCloud for backups, and I just discovered that my photos from 2020 to 2025 are completely gone.

These photos mean a lot to me, and I’m really hoping there’s a way to recover them. Is there anything you can do to help?

Please let me know if there are any options available.

That is really bad. The iCloud backup of your iPhone does no longer include the photos, once you enable iCloud Photos. As you have noticed, it is essential to be very careful, when you are using iCloud Photos, as you no longer have an iCloud backup of the photos. Before we delete any photos we have to check the selected photos carefully, so we do not accidentally delete important photos. Also, the iCloud backup of your iPhone is a rolling backup. Older backups will be overwritten and replaced by newer backups.

And we need a backup outside of iCloud for all documents and data we are storing in iCloud. Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud - Apple Support

I suggest to contact Apple Support asap and explain, that you misunderstood how iCloud Photos is working. Apple Support may be able to recover the deleted photos from Apple's own backups of iCloud, if it is not too late.
