Why Does the Movies App Still Exist on Apple TV If It’s No Longer Usable?

I’ve noticed that the Movies app is still present on Apple TV, but when I open it, there’s no content—it just tells me that movies have moved to a new location. However, despite being non-functional, I cannot delete or hide this app from my Apple TV.

If the app no longer serves a purpose, why is it still there? Is there any way to remove or hide it? Would appreciate any insights!
