Why does Google widget went black on my iPhone 16 Pro?

I used to have a 2x4 Google widget on my home screen it had the search bar, google-lens button and dictate button on it. Yesterday March 7th as I went to open my home screen I saw that the widget was black. When I tapped it, it opened the Google-App and that still works.

Just wondering why it disappeared and if there’s a fix for this. Any feedback would be helpful! Thank you!

If it’s going dark or not showing updates, it could definitely be related to internet connectivity — especially if your phone’s struggling with Wi-Fi or mobile data. But it could also be due to:

App issues: Google app may need an update or a cache clear.
Widget glitches: Removing and re-adding the widget often fixes this.
