iPadOS 18 pdf Editing is Broken

This seemed to be a common issue when iPadOS 17 came out and was fixed with the 17.1 update. However, as of today, I'm now having the same issue after having no problems the entire time I've had my 4th generation iPad Air.

When I'm in Preview, using the Markup feature on a pdf, the pdf will suddenly crash, losing all of my most recent annotations. This isn't a new pdf, I'm on page 40/72.

Additionally, when I AirDrop an annotated pdf to my MacBook Air, the annotations are pixelated.

Preview opens Annotated PDF as black box, sometimes. I am a musician and use the app forscore on my ipad. Everything is up to date with operating systems and app updates. In the app, I use the apple pencil to annotate the pdf with things I need. From the app, you can share a pdf with the annotations, which I do frequently, as I need to provide music for others. I typically air drop to my macbook air. Sometimes (key is sometimes), when I open the pdf on my computer, pages or portions of pages turn black. It is only sometimes, and typically happens only after I scroll or zoom. Sometimes I can see the thumbnail without issue and its only the large PDF that turns black. Occasionally, it will be fine if I close and re-open the pdf. This has been an issue for multiple years, and I am just getting tired of finding extremely annoying workarounds. I know there are other PDF viewing programs available, but I would prefer to stick with preview if possible.https://youtu.be/UCc89NojErQ

iPadOS 17 PDF Text Markup Broken, Not Syncing Properly Across Devices Since updating to iPadOS 17.0.2, annotating a PDF with typed text is no longer working properly. I can write with Apple Pencil and these annotations will save correctly in the PDF. These annotations also show up properly when the PDF if viewed from my MacBook Pro. The files are stored in iCloud Drive and updates to the file appear to be working correctly. When writing text on iPad, the text seems to be okay when reopening the edited PDF file: although when the same file has been synced over iCloud Drive and viewed on MacOS, it looks like this: as you can see, the typed text is cropped. I now need to open this file on my MacBook, resize the text and then make use of the file that has been "fixed" on my MacBook, because if I, for example, send the file as edited on my iPad, it will appear as the latter image. I now need to fix the PDF annotations on my MacBook, which seems like an unnecessary step to me, given the fact that PDFs annotated prior to upgrading to iPadOS 17 didn't suffer this problem. Has anyone else experienced this issue and can anyone recommend anything that can solve this issue? Thanks for your time!
