But how do I stop preview/notifications at the top of the screen while I am trying to use my phone? Apparently no previews occur while my iPhone 15 ProMax is locked or idle. Use Emergency SOS on your iPhone

If you have a protective case, try removing it as a test.

How to force a restart to try to clear this:

If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen

Update to iOS 18.3.1, if not already.
